Education and Outreach
The general public has been educated to a
greater degree, and therefore has greater awareness of other gender or sexual
preference groups such a the gay community or the needs of the transsexual.
Concurrently, very little is known about our area of gender expression and the
fact that some cross dressers can also be heterosexual. Sigma Epsilon is a
support group comprised of cross dressers who are equally and
deeply committed to our everyday careers, spouses and family life. As such we do
not have the ability to join together as a group to encourage political avenues
to address and educate the general public about cross dressing.
Although Sigma Epsilon is in no way a political
action group, an important part of what we do is to educate others about
cross dressing by privately addressing college and university
students, educators, law enforcement as well a various professional groups about
the phenomena of heterosexual cross dressing. Sigma Epsilon regularly hold
seminars at prestigious colleges such as Emory University, GA State, Kennesaw
State, Agnes Scott College and other universities in the region. |
