Sigma Epsilon Meeting Weekends
A
Typical Meeting Weekend Newcomers
Meeting Special Weekend Events
Our primary support vehicle is through monthly
meeting weekends where a cross dresser can get to know others who share the
gender gift of heterosexual cross dressing.
Sigma Epsilon is one of the few Tri-Ess Chapters
in the nation that holds weekend-long meeting. This provides out-of-town members
an opportunity to enjoy a extended and relaxing way to socialize with their
sisters -- and it provides in-towner the flexibility of attending all or
part of a meeting weekend.
We meet every month at an upscale Atlanta hotel
with which we have had an ongoing relationship for many years. Your
security and privacy is the number one priority and you can trust that your
safety and privacy will never be compromised at Sigma Epsilon.
As part of our initial Security screening
process, it is important to note that before attending your first meeting,
it will be necessary for you to call our information line and talk with
our Outreach Director, Heather.
All members and guests are required to strictly
adhere to the dress-code and conduct as outlined in the Sigma Epsilon
Security Guidelines.
A Typical Meeting Weekend
The meeting weekends begin on Friday evening
in our hospitality suite at the hotel. Saturday begins with the Newcomers'
Meeting, then shopping trips or organized event in the afternoon and an
evening dinner at one of our great Atlanta restaurants. The weekend
ends at Bubba Breakfast (a non-dressed event) on Sunday morning at a local
restaurant.
If you are interested in coming to a Sigma Epsilon meeting, we would love to
have you as our guest. Sigma Epsilon provides two free meeting weekends to
get to know us before you are asked to apply for membership. After these
two initial meetings, of you wish to continue to attend - then on your third
visit we request that you become a member.
If your spouse or significant other would like to attend with you, we would
love to have them as our guest as well. There are always qualified spouses
available to answer any questions, should they need information from a
spouse/S.O. perspective.
Newcomers' Meeting
The Newcomers' Meeting is held at 10:00 each
Saturday morning of each meeting weekend, is highly recommended for anyone
attending their first Sigma Epsilon weekend.
Held in the privacy of our meeting suite, cross
dressers as well as spouses and S.O.'s find this meeting very helpful and
informative. Not only does it allow you to become more acquainted with Sigma
Epsilon, this meeting also provides an excellent opportunity to better
understand cross dressing and how Sigma Epsilon can strengthen your relationship
with your loved ones.
Special Weekend Events
Sigma Epsilon is on the cutting edge of in its
activities its provides to its members. Notable among these activities are
three important annual events:
- Couples' Valentine Dinner in February
The Couples' Valentine Dinner is a tradition
at Sigma Epsilon. This non-dressed dinner is held on the Saturday evening of
our February meeting and is an opportunity for cross dressers to treat their
spouse and significant other to an elegant dinner and to meet other Sigma
Epsilon couples in a non-dressed environment.
Held in April, the Sigma Epsilon Spring
Ball is our annual formal event. Held in a private ballroom at our meeting
hotel in Atlanta, the Spring Ball starts with a champagne reception
followed by a fabulous buffet. Afterwards there is music, dancing and
a contest to crown a Ball Queen. Our sisters, their spouses and significant
others are encouraged to come dressed in style with flashy dresses (lots
of sequins, color, beading and/or glitter), a dramatic flare on the
makeup and flashy jewelry! This is a good chance to show your creativity
and will be a good time had by all.
The Sigma Epsilon Holiday Party is our
opportunity to wear our festive cocktail dresses. This event, held in
December, includes a full dinner buffet with an open bar serving wine,
champagne, beer and soft drinks. Socializing, raffles, party games and
entertainment provided by our own talented Sigma Epsilon sisters go on past
midnight!
